Watering

Bromeliads are possibly one of the easiest plants to grow. They do not mind most potting mixes or barks as long as it does not hold too much water

In the bromeliad family called Cryptanthus because they sometimes look like cactus a new grower can easily under water. They like growing side by side with moss like less water BUT more often some tillandsias can also fit into this group. this is not so for most Bromeliads.

The easiest way to assess the watering is that if the plant has a vase to hold water it needs less frequent watering. no vase the plant has no reserve and will possibly need more watering
